On January 8, 2016, creator of TV Series “Ties That Bind”, Sheryl J. Anderson posted on her Twitter account that UPtv would no longer be a home to the show. The reason is that UPtv changed the direction of their series programming. UPtv is a network dedicated to providing uplifting entertainment and feel good TV for families and “Ties That Bind” did exactly that, exquisitely… Somehow, a show that possesses great family chemistry (rarely seen on TV these days), taught valuable lessons, while exciting us with action, drama & intriguing polices cases became homeless!? But, as of today, Pure Flix has provided it shelter:)
Pure Flix is a faith, family and Christian movies on demand site. Their goal is to provide wholesome entertainment for all ages that carries great messages. They’re asking everyone to sign-up for a 30-day free trial and watch the 1st season of “Ties That Bind”. If the viewer ship is high enough, Pure Flix will release a 2nd season. I ask that each of you “Pay It forward” and help bring quality back to TV.
“Pay It Forward” reference: The story of a social studies teacher who gives an assignment to his junior high school class to think of an idea to change the world for the better, then put it into action. When one young student creates a plan for “paying forward” favors, he not only affects the life of his struggling single mother, but he sets in motion an unprecedented wave of human kindness which, unbeknownst to him, has blossomed into a profound national phenomenon.
